# JPG to HEIC

JPG files (.jpg and .jpeg) into HEIC (.heic and .heif), on your Mac, iPhone or iPad. Converted on the device. Nothing is uploaded.

## How

- On a Mac: drop the JPG file on convertfile and pick HEIC, or right-click it in Finder and choose Quick Actions, then convertfile.
- On an iPhone or iPad: share the JPG file to convertfile and pick HEIC.

## What it does

- Converted by Apple’s ImageIO, on the device.
- HEIC options: Longest side in pixels; Smaller, Balanced or Best; Remove the location and camera details.
- Free, forever. It is never counted.
