# Pages

How to convert an Apple Pages document to PDF, Word, EPUB or text, and what convertfile does with the result.

convertfile does not open Pages documents yet. Pages exports them itself: in Pages, choose **File › Export To**, then PDF, Word, Plain Text, Rich Text or EPUB.

Once it is a Word file, convertfile turns it into a [PDF](/docx-to-pdf), [Markdown](/docx-to-md) or [plain text](/docx-to-txt) on your Mac, iPhone or iPad. An EPUB becomes [Markdown](/epub-to-md); a PDF becomes [JPG](/pdf-to-jpg) or [Markdown](/pdf-to-md).
