convertfile

Terms

These terms cover the convertfile app and this website, both run by System Operator LLC. Last updated October 9, 2026.

The app

What it is

convertfile is an app for Mac, iPhone and iPad that converts files on your device. It is a program running on your device, not a service. We do not receive or store your files. Privacy says what little leaves your device.

License and purchases

convertfile is distributed through the App Store and licensed to you under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. The core app is free. convertfile Pro is a one-time in-app purchase made with Apple: payment, refunds and taxes are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. There is no subscription.

Check the result

A conversion can change a file: a smaller image loses detail, a document typeset again loses its original layout, a format that cannot hold something drops it. Look at the result before you delete the original. convertfile keeps originals unless you tell it not to.

As is

Under Apple’s agreement the app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

The website

convertfile.io describes convertfile. There is nothing to sign up for and nowhere to upload anything. Read it, link to it and quote it; do not try to break or overload it. The words and images on this site belong to System Operator LLC. Apple, Mac, iPhone, iPad and Finder belong to Apple.

Both

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for convertfile in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We can update the app, the website and these terms. We date this page when it changes.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, where System Operator LLC is formed, without regard to conflict of law rules.
